Great price, great customer service and unbelievably fast shipping. I pulled the R-8 arbor, without a chuck, up into my mill and an indicator read less than .001 of runout. Can't expect better than that for the price. Highly recommend this arbor for any manual mill!

I am very happy with this set. It contains all of the most popular thread sizes. Having the exact drill handy saves the hassle of looking up and searching for the correct size. Came apart and left my auger bit under sidewalk, crap. The connectors don't work. They spin apart no matter how tight you tighten them. I am out drill bits and my ditch is clogged. Bummer.

Be warned that the "from the manufacturer description" is out of date, Vermont American was a great American tool company that held out as long as they wanted, but have recently moved production to China, the description clearly says "made in USA" but these are from the new Chinese production. V/A has quite some nerve still naming their company Vermont "American" and Amazon needs to update the product description to reflect the new V/A product line.
As for the quality of the product. don't expect much as you did not pay much. But don't blame the Chinese manufacturer, V/A execs approved the poor quality of this set and said "yep that's fine, -- 80% profit right?"
I was hoping from the description that that this was some of the old production from a year or two ago, left over in stock, but alas I was sorely disappointed.
Bottom line, they will tap a hole, the case will be broken when it arrives, and the drills will dull in 25 holes, but it was $20, and all i wanted was a few holes tapped here and there.

I have had a few lesser expensive tap and die sets before, and none have looked as nice or performed as well as this one. I splurged on this set as opposed to the 76 piece set because this has many more drill bits and bit extractors. The quality in the materials and crafstmanship is top notch, it all came in a well constructed carrying case. This is a very comprehensive set that covers most any size you would ever need. I have a Honda motorcycle, Arctic Cat ATV, GM truck, and a VW Jetta and I double checked most all of the bolts on those vehicles and this kit has me pretty well covered. There is nothing worse than getting most of the way through a project and needing a tool to finish. We have all been there and this is the kit that will get you out of alot of jams with stripped bolt/nuts and broken off bolts.

I found Amazon's prices to be the best around, although sometimes they say something is "in stock" and it doesn't ship for a week. Is it in stock or is it not Amazon? overall Amazon has good prices and I have always gotten my items, it is just a bit of a shipping delay sometimes.

The once blue, now yellow, plastic case which is included--is not included. Instead you get a hard-to-open three-fold blister pack which, if you aren't prescient and open it with the middle section backwards, all the drills and taps will fall out and three of them will roll under the workbench and who knows where else. The low rating above is for 1) the advertised but not delivered "case," 2) spewing drills and taps everywhere, and 3) having paid for one tap which I still can't find. It may be under the hot water heater. It would be petty of me to swear off a vendor with a reputation as strong as Irwin's over this episode. So I'm petty. The best tool in the world is useless if it's so poorly contained that it drops out and gets lost the first time you open it up.

ADDENDUM: 4) Mislabeling (too bad there's no "zero stars" category). If your 1/4" x 20 bolt doesn't fit a hole tapped for the same 1/4 x 20, it's because the Irwin tap is actually a 1/4" x 28. Enough. I would say to Irwin, "just screw 'em," but that would be impossible using their products.

Tap is so brittle, it feels as if it was made of ceramic. Bought two sets from towerhobbies, and broke both taps within two holes. I didn't overtwist, and also used lube. I am experienced in tapping, but never experienced such a shoddy product. STAY AWAY! Buy a better quality tap from mcmaster.

The taps in this set are made from a pretty poor material-I've broken 3 of them, 2 on the first use! I've tapped a zillion holes so I know what I'm doing-I use tap oil too-it's such a pain getting those broken fragments out-skip this item

I was very surprised by the performance of this lightweight drill. I historically buy high-end cordless drills, but when my Makita 12V batteries wouldn't hold a charge, I decided to buy something less expensive. I've only owned this for 3 months and it hasn't let me down. I almost always use a quick-change driver in the chuck so I've never seen the chuck slip (as another reviewer mentioned). I wish a carrying case and/or extra battery was included but I'll survive without it. My only gripe is that the trigger is somewhat sensitive and it's difficult to maintain a constant slow speed (i.e. driving small screws). Great torque at high speed, though. You could buy 2 or 3 of these for the price of a high-end drill. For the money, this is a great product.

These drills feel good to hold - the size is great for around the house projects, not too heavy, but rugged enough to feel confident they can stand on their own.

The drill is powerful enough to handle the wood I used it on with multiple sized bits. The light feature when you press the trigger is convenient when you're working in not so well lit places. The impact drill is great for small projects and speeds the process of replacing a bolt/nuts. I'm not sure if my husband will use the carrying case much, but if he needs to - it's not too bulky.

The batteries snap in and out easily - and help a great deal in reducing the weight of the drill. The one thing my husband pointed out was that the impact driver did not come with a 1/4 " bit - so in order to use the driver - you will need to either have one of those or purchase one to use this with any of your sockets.

So far - this is a nice set and very easy to use!
